Ganja khanate

Khanate was founded in 1747. It covered the area from Murovdagh range to Kura river. It had borders with Sheki, Garabagh, Iravan khanates, Gazakh and Shamsaddil sultanates and Katrli-Kakhetia kingdom. From administrative viewpoint it was dived into Ganja, Samukh, Kurakbasan, Shamkir and Ayrim mahals. Its founder was Shahverdi khan from kin of Ziyadoglular. In January 3, 1804 the area of khanate was occupied by Russia.
