Khanate of Khoy

It was founded in 1747. It had borders with Maku, Nakhichevan, Garadagh, Tabriz, Urmia khanates and as well as Ottoman Empire. It was divided into mahals of Khoy, Salmas, Avajiq, Gotur, Aland, Chaldiran, Chors, Garagoyunlu, Sokmanabad, Dargah. Its foundation was laid by Dunbulu tribes. Khoy khanate was in the structure of Gajar state according to Turkmanchay Treaty.
