\"For distinction in military service\" medal

It was approved by Law of Azerbaijan Republic No 327- IIQ dated may 17, 2002. Medal For merits in military service consists of round board of 35 mm of diameter and of round form bronze cast narrow board placed on crescent and eight-pointed star of white color 

Eagle with opened wings and crossed rifles and anchor in the background of eight pointed start with smooth surface and salient corner on front side of the medal were described on the medal. There relief rays with contours of corners among contours of the circle on the surface of the star. 

Words For merits in military service were carved along the framed circle from both sides, and garlands have been placed below from oak leaves. 

The 3rd grade of the medal is of silver color, 2nd grade except its circle and words on it in golden color and 1st grade in golden color and the wings of eagle is of silver color, and anchor is of black color. 

Its back side is of smooth surface. 

Medal is attached to dress on right-angled ribbon of olive color of size of 27 mm x 43 mm, with ring and loop.   The vertical stripes of golden color of 1mm of width were described at edges of ribbon for all grades of medals. There is one vertical stripe of golden color with 5mm of width for 1st grade of medal, two and three stripes with width of 2mm respectively for 2nd and 3rd grade of medal.    

The mould is added of size 27 mm x 9 mm coated with same ribbon with element for fixation to dress.
