Elchin (1943) - writer, playwright

He came in literature in 1965 with a book of stories One night of out of one thousand. The main theme of his stories is dedicated to villages of Baku and Absheron culture. He is an author of some dramas, comedies written with attempt to describe the characteristics of the transition period. His books were translated  in many world languages (English, Russian, French, German, Spanish, Turkish, Hungarian, Bulgarian, Arabic, Persian, Chinese, Czech, Slovak , Polish, Croatian, Georgian, Lithuanian, Moldavian, Turkmen, Uzbek, Kazakh, Tajik, Serbian, etc.). The total circulation of books is more than 5 million.
