Galib bey Vekilov (1888-1937) - Lieutenant-General
Galib bey Vekilov entered the military-technical institute named after Alexander III in Kharkov, and from the second course continued his education at the Moscow military school of Alekseyev. He worked as Head of the Department of the military engineers in Azerbaijan National Army. 
After 1920 he was the head of the engineer troops of XI Army in Anzali,   director of the Trans-Caucasus Red Army military revolutionary military industrial committee. In 1931-33 he was for the first time in prison, and at the second time in 1937 he was arrested and shot.
During the First World War he was awarded with the Order St. George.
