Govsi Tabrizi (1568-1640) - poet.

Two copies Govsi Tabrizi’s Divan reached us are known: first one is kept in the British Museum, and the second in the State Museum of Georgia. He is prominent follower of Fuzuli literary school. In his lyric ghazels spiritual freedom, dreams and desires of people are praised. He wrote devotion to a number of the poets, in particular, to Fuzuli. His work played an important role in the development of Azerbaijani poetry.
