Azim Azimzade (1880-1943) 
Azim Azimzade, the founder of Azerbaijan satiric graphics had published his own cartoons in  Molla Nasreddin magazine. For some period the master was the chief painter of the magazine and had created cartoons, caricature, which sharply denounced social inequality, ignorance, fanaticism, czar despotism. He criticized negative elements in own works either with sharp humor, or sharp satire with a soft hint of blame. 

Gazanfar Khaligov (1898-1981) 
Gazanfar Khaligov is one of first professional cartoonists.  She graduated from Azerbaijan State Art College. He worked in Molla Nasreddin magazine as a cartoonist. G.Khaligov also acted as theatre and cinema decorative artist. Since 1973 he was People\'s Artist of Azerbaijan.
 
Elturan Avalov (1940) 
Elturan Avalov graduated from the Faculty of Architecture of Polytechnic Institute in 1963. He is an author of books “Shusha\'s architecture (1977), Elturan (1986), In the eyes of architect.  In 1991, he was awarded the title of the Republic of Azerbaijan Honored Art Worker. He held individual exhibitions in Baku (1985, 1994, 2005), Moscow (1986), and Turkey (1999). In 2003 he was conferred a professor degree. At present, he is a Head of the Department of Fine Arts at the University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Since 2005 he is a member of the Union of Painters of Azerbaijan. Since 2006, he is a member of the Union of Cartoonists of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).

Bayram Qasymkhanly (1946) 
Bayram Qasymkhanly (1946) graduated from State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1971, and in 1977 Tbilisi State Academy of Art. He is a member of the Painters\' Union since 1978. He works as teacher-painter since 1982. Since 1984 he is a Chairman of the Baku Exilibris Club. Since 2006 he is a member of the Union of Cartoonists of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).  

Bulud Kasimov (1947) 
Bulud Kasimov graduated from the Technical Art School in 1968.  He worked as painter cartoonist since 1980 in republican mass-media. Since 1981, till date he had been cooperating with Kirpi satirical magazine. Since 2005 he is literary editor of satirical magazine Mozalan. Since 2006 he is a member of the Union of Cartoonists of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).  

Boyukaga Yahyayev (1948) 
Boyukaga Yahyayev graduated from State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1973, and Leningrad Art Institute named after V. Muxina in 1978. Since 1992 he had been working as art editor of Gunash - Sun magazine. He is a participant of many republic and international exhibitions. Since 2005 he is a member of the Union of Painters. Since 2006 he is a member of the Union of Cartoonists of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).  

Hafis Nasiroglu (1950) 
Hafis Nasiroglu graduated from the Department of decorative painting of Technical Vocational School in 1968. For many years he worked as a cartoonist in the press. Since 1983, he worked as painter in Kirpi satire-humor magazine. Since 1992 he has been working as chief painter of the magazine Kirpi. He participated in many international cartoon competitions, has been awarded many prizes. Since 1997, he is a member of the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan, and since 2008 member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union. 

Yashar Samedov (1950) 
Yashar Samedov graduated from Azerbaijan State Art School named after Azim Azimzade in  1970, in 1978, State Art Institute of Azerbaijan named after M. Aliyev. In 1982, he worked as a teacher at the University of Architecture. In 1997, he joined the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan. In 1998, he participated in Luxembourg, in  Maus Ketti exhibition, in 1999,  III International Exilibris Graphics Contest in Poland, in 2000 in Latvia M.K.Ciurlioniui 125 exhibition, as well as in 2001, Portraits Exhibition, National Cartoon Exhibition held in Azerbaijan,  and exhibitions dedicated to the 10 th anniversary of the independence of Azerbaijan. He is a member of the Union of Painters of Azerbaijan, and since 2008 member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union.

Zafar Huseynov (1955) 
Zafar Huseynov graduated from the Ganja Pedagogical School in 1975, and Pedagogical University in Ganja in 1983. Since 1996 Che participates with own caricatures in the press. Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) International is a member of the group. Since 1996 he is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).  

Vagif Ujatay (1955) 
V. Ujatay graduated from State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1978, and Academy of Art named after Repin in St. Petersburg in 1987. He seriously engaged with cartoon since 1990. His works have been published in several books and magazines. Since 1993 he acts as a teacher-artist. In 2007 he had the personal exhibition.  He is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijan’s group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).  

Yaver Asadov (1956) 
Yaver Asadov   graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1975 and in  Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts in 1980. Since 1981 he is a member of the USSR Union of Journalists and the USSR Union of Artists. For many years, he worked in the newspaper Communist as chief painter. During 2000-2004 he founded the Joke- Zarafat” satirical newspaper and was its chief editor. He is member of Board of Azerbaijan Cartoonists\' Association and Azerbaijan Group in FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) International . At present he works as a teacher. 

Kirman Abdin (1959) 
Kirman Abdin graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1982 and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts in 1988. Since 1989 he is member of Azerbaijan Painters’ Union. He works as a media painter. He is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union since 2006, as well as Azerbaijan Group in the FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Elman Mirzayev (1959) 
Elman Mirzayev graduated the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1980. Since 1982 he had been working closely with Kirpi” satirical magazine, and since 1982 he worked as painter animator in film studio. Since 1985 he is leading painter of Puppets theater. Since 2005 he is a member of Azerbaijan Union of Painters. He held individual exhibitions in the years 1999-2003 in Baku. He is participant and winner of international cartoon competitions held in Azerbaijan and abroad. His works were published in tens of catalogs. He was awarded with special prize of the UNESCO. Since 2006 he is a member of the Board of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union. He is a vice president of Azerbaijan Group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Etibar Aslanov (1963) 
Etibar Aslanov graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1983, and Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts in 1993. Since 1985, he works as painter in Dove children magazine. In 2004, his personal exhibition was arranged. Since 2006 he is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union, as well as the Azerbaijan Group in FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Vafa Allahyarova (1965) 
Vafa Allahyarova graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1984. Since 1982 she cooperates closely with Kirpi satirical magazine. She works as cartoonist of the media in republic. In 1990 he graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts. She has been working since 1990 as a teacher-painter. She is a member of the Painters\' Union since 1991. She is a member of the Board of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union since 2006.  She is a literary editor of We and the Cartoon magazine. Since 2006 she is a member of Azerbaijan Group in FECO (Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Seyran Jafarli (1966) 
Seyran Jafarli worked as a cartoonist in Kirpi satirical magazine since 1982. In 1992 he graduated from the Journalism Art Courses. In 2002-2005 was the organizer of an international cartoon competitions Molla Nasreddin. He was a member of the jury at international competitions and exhibitions in different countries of the world. Since 2002 he is a member of a group of cartoonists in WITTY WORLD (USA) journal. At International Cartoon Competitions he received more than 60 awards. His works had been awarded with gold, silver and bronze medals and diplomas, and 200 works have been published in catalogs. In 2003, he has founded the Union of Cartoonists. He is a director of website International Cartoon News Center. Since 2007, he is a member of the Committee of Cartoon Don Quixote. Since 2007 he is member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijan Group of FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). Since 2008, he is the founder and chief editor of satirical magazine Humor. 

Vugar Muradov (1967) 
Vugar Muradov graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1986. He is a member of the Painters\' Union since 1997. In recent years, he is engaged in the genre of caricature, and since 2007, he is a member of the Cartoonists\' Association. 

Bayram Hajizade (1968) 
Bayram Hajizadeh graduated from State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1987, and in 1994 from Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts. Since 1986, he acts as a cartoonist-painter in “Kirpi satirical magazine and periodical press. Since 2000, he is a member of the Azerbaijan Journalists’ Union. 
Since 2005 he is a member of the Painters\' Union and Chairman of the Cartoon section. Since 2005, he is chief editor of the magazine We and the Cartoon .
He was elected chairman of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union in 2006. 
Since 2006, he is a president of Azerbaijan Group in International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations (FECO). He is an author of 6 books, 50 scientific and journalistic articles on cartoon art. 
In 2007, he was awarded the honorary title of Honored Art Worker. In 2008, he defended thesis on  The development of caricature , and has received the scientific degree of candidate of art criticism. 
Since 2008, he teaches in the State University of Culture and the Arts in Art department on the subject Cartoon History. 
He is organizer of the International Cartoon Contest Molla Nasreddin held in Azerbaijan. In 2008, he was elected as an honorary member of Cartoonion» International Cartoonists Club of the United States. 

Afet Mahmudova (1969) 
Afet Mahmudova graduated from State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1988, and in 1994 from Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts. She is a participant of many exhibitions. She has worked as a teacher-painter in Azerbaijan State Academy of Art. In recent years, she is actively engaged with the cartoon. She is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijan Group in the FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations) since 2006.

Evelina Aliyeva (1969) 
Evelina Aliyeva graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 1988, and in 1994 from Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts. Since 1997, she is a member of the Union of Painters of Azerbaijan, and since 2007 a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union. 

Vusal Bagirov (1970) 
Vusal Bagirov graduated from Azerbaijan State University of Culture and the Arts in 1987. Since 1993 he acts as a teacher-painter. Since 2001 he is a member of the Union of Advertisers. In 2004 he received the scientific degree of candidate of art criticism. He participated in exhibitions and competitions held in the country and abroad. Since 2005 he is a member of Azerbaijan Union of Painters. Since 2006 he has been working in the field of caricature. His works have been published in several books and magazines. He is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijani Group in the FECO (the International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Bahram Bagirzade (1972) 
Bahram Bagirzade graduated from Azerbaijan State Institute of Culture an Art in 1994 , Faculty of Producing. Since 1992 he draws cartoons and published own caricatures in Kirpi satirical magazine. He held exhibition in Baku. Since 2004, he is the publisher of the Qalareya magazine. Since 2006 he is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijani Group of the FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations). 

Anar Guliyev (1982) 
Anar Guliyev graduated from the State Art School named after A. Azimzade in 2000 and in 2004 from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Art. Since 1997, he works as cartoonist –painter in a number of newspapers and magazines published in republic. His works have been published in several books and albums. Since 2006 he is a member of Azerbaijan Cartoonists Union and Azerbaijani Group of the FECO (International Federation of Cartoonists Organizations).
