Regions and cities The regions and cities of Azerbaijan
The country\'s administrative-territorial structure, which played an important role in the development of the people of Azerbaijan comprises geographical basis of its territorial division. Establishment of settlements of Azerbaijan had passed a complex historical period since the ancient times. At each historical period improvement of the processes of the settlement system, its loading and recession took place and specific economic and political conditions was created for it.
