Lankaran khanate

It was founded in 1747. It was founded by Seyid Abbas from Ardebil from Safavid dynasty. Its center initially was Astara, later Lankaran cities. It had borders with Ardebil, Garadagh, Javad, Salyan khanates, Caspian Sea and Gilan province. The khanate was divided into mahals of Asalim, Garganrud, Astara, Vilgic, Zuvand, Chayichi, Lankaran, Drigh, Uluf, Arkivan, Ujarud and safidasht. In 1800 the khanate came under the Russian influence and it was abolished in 1826 by tsar decree.
